Isaiah 10:27 “It shall come to pass in that day
That his burden will be taken away from your shoulder,
And his yoke from your neck,
And the yoke will be destroyed because of the anointing oil.”
The Significance of Anointing Oils in Breaking Yokes
Anointing oils have been used for centuries as a tool for spiritual warfare in our Christian walk. These oils are not just ordinary oils; they are consecrated and set apart for a specific purpose. In the Bible, anointing oils were used to symbolize the presence of the Holy Spirit and to break the yokes of bondage.
“The yoke shall be destroyed because of the anointing oil” (Isaiah 10:27, KJV).
When we anoint ourselves or others with these oils, we are declaring our faith in God’s power to break every chain that binds us. Just as David was anointed with oil and went on to defeat Goliath, we too can conquer our giants with the power of God working through us. “Then Samuel took the horn of oil and anointed him in the midst of his brothers; and the Spirit of the LORD came upon David from that day forward” (1 Samuel 16:13, NKJV).
Anointing oils are a tangible reminder of God’s presence in our lives. When we anoint ourselves with these oils, we are inviting the Holy Spirit to work in and through us. “But the anointing which you have received from Him abides in you” (1 John 2:27, NKJV).
In times of spiritual warfare, anointing oils is a powerful weapon against the enemy. When we anoint ourselves with these oils, we are declaring our allegiance to God and our trust in His power to overcome all obstacles. The enemy cannot stand against the anointing of God, and when we use these oils in faith, we can be assured of victory in every battle.
“Is anyone among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord” (James 5:14, NKJV).
In conclusion, anointing oils play a vital role in breaking the yokes of bondage. As we use these oils in faith and obedience, we will experience the freedom and victory that God has promised us.
This is a promise: “The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon Me, because the LORD has anointed Me to preach good tidings to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to those who are bound” (Isaiah 61:1, NKJV).
Let us continue to rely on the power of anointing oil, knowing that God’s presence and protection are with us every step of the way.
Prayer of Gratitude for the Power of the Holy Spirit through Anointing Oil
Heavenly Father,
I come before You with a heart full of gratitude and praise. Thank You, Lord, for the gift of the Holy Spirit who dwells within me and empowers me daily. I am deeply grateful for the anointing oil, a powerful symbol of Your presence and a conduit of Your divine power.
Lord, I thank You for the miracles, healings, and breakthroughs that have occurred through the use of anointing oil. Just as David was anointed and strengthened to defeat Goliath, I, too, have experienced Your mighty hand delivering me from my challenges and battles. I praise You for every yoke that has been broken, every burden lifted, and every chain shattered because of Your anointing.
Thank You, Holy Spirit, for filling me with Your presence and working through the anointing oil. It is a tangible reminder of Your faithfulness and the authority You have given me as a believer. I am grateful for the comfort, guidance, and protection You provide as I walk in obedience to Your word.
I honour and exalt You, Lord, for the anointing that destroys yokes and sets captives free. Thank You for Your unwavering love and for the freedom and victory I have in You. May I always remember the significance of the anointing oil and use it with reverence, faith, and expectation.

2. Prayer of Consecration Over the Anointing Oil
(Get your anointing oil, and pray over it)
Heavenly Father,
I come before You in humility and reverence, acknowledging Your greatness and sovereignty. I thank You for the provision of anointing oil as a symbol of Your Holy Spirit’s presence and power in my life.
Lord, I now consecrate this oil before You. I set it apart for Your holy purposes, dedicating it to be used for Your glory. I ask that You bless and sanctify this oil, making it a vessel of Your divine power and grace.
As I use this oil, may it be a tangible representation of Your presence. Let it be a tool through which Your Spirit works mightily, bringing healing, deliverance, and breakthrough to me and to those who are anointed with it. I pray that Your anointing will destroy every yoke, lift every burden, and bring freedom to the captives.
Holy Spirit, I invite You to fill this oil with Your power and presence. Let it be a conduit of Your miraculous works, a symbol of Your guidance, and a reminder of my faith and commitment to You. As I anoint myself and members of my family (or the symbols representing members of my family), May everyone that I anoint with this oil experience a fresh outpouring of Your Spirit, receiving strength, deliverance, breakthroughs, comfort, and renewal.
I dedicate this oil in the name of the Father, the Son and The Holy Spirit Amen
Do what only You can do through this oil.

There are ten prayer points, we shall take five today and five next weekend.
Instructions: For every prayer, point, anoint yourself afresh. Pray these prayers over members of your family. If they are with you, you can anoint them, but if they are not with you, then get pictures (make copies if you can) or anything that you can use as a point of contact).
Secondly, there is a short version of each prayer and an expanded version. You can choose whichever works for you. Use the short version if you know you have the verbiage to work the prayer point or pray in tongues.
3. Let Us Break Yokes
1. By the anointing of the Holy Spirit, I destroy the yoke of untimely death in my life and my family in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Expanded Prayer:
Heavenly Father, I come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up myself and my family to You. Lord, You are the giver of life, and in You, we find our refuge and strength. I thank You for Your protection and for the promise of abundant life through Your Son, Jesus Christ.
By the power of the Holy Spirit, I break every yoke of untimely death that the enemy has placed over my life and the lives of my family members. Your word declares in Isaiah 10:27 that the anointing breaks the yoke. So, I stand on this promise and declare that every plan of the enemy to cut short our lives is destroyed right now in the name of Jesus.
Father, I speak life and health into every member of my family. I cancel every negative word, every curse, and every evil plan designed to bring about premature death. I declare that we shall live and not die, and we will proclaim the works of the Lord as it is written in Psalm 118:17.
Lord, cover us with Your precious blood, and place a hedge of protection around us. Just as You protected the Israelites in Egypt during the Passover, let the spirit of death pass over us, and let us walk in Your divine protection and favour.
In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen.
2. By the anointing of the Holy Spirit, I destroy the yoke of sickness in my life today. In Jesus’ name.
Expanded Prayer:
Heavenly Father, I come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, thanking You for the gift of life and health. You are Jehovah Rapha, the Lord who heals, and I believe in Your power to restore and make whole. Your word says in Isaiah 53:5 that by the stripes of Jesus, we are healed. I stand on this promise today.
Holy Spirit, anoint me with Your healing power and let it flow through every part of my being.
By the anointing of the Holy Spirit, I break and destroy every yoke of sickness and disease that has taken hold of my life. I declare that every form of illness, whether it be physical, emotional, or spiritual, has no place in my body. I rebuke and cast out all forms of cancer, diabetes, heart disease, respiratory issues, and any other ailments that may afflict me.
Lord, I also come against any mental health struggles, including anxiety, depression, stress, dementia, memory loss, schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, and any other condition affecting my mind. By the anointing of the Holy Spirit the yoke of mental health issues is destroyed.
I declare that my body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, and sickness has no right to dwell within me. I speak to every organ, every cell, and every system in my body, commanding them to function perfectly according to God’s design. I command my immune system to be strong and able to fight off any infection or disease.
Father, I lift up any generational curses or hereditary conditions that may be affecting my health. I break these curses by the anointing of the Holy Spirit and declare that they will not pass down to future generations. I claim the victory and freedom that Christ has won for me on the cross.
Thank You, Father; I give You all the glory, honour, and praise for the miraculous work You are doing in my life.

4. By the anointing of the Holy Spirit, I destroy the yoke of failure in my life today. In Jesus’ name.

Heavenly Father, I come before You in the powerful name of Jesus, thanking You for Your abundant grace and mercy. You are the God who gives us victory and success, and I trust in Your plans for my life. Your word in Jeremiah 29:11 assures me that You have plans for my welfare, not for evil, to give me a future and a hope.
By the anointing of the Holy Spirit, I break and destroy every yoke of failure that has been holding me back. I declare that failure has no place in my life, my career, my education, my relationships, my finances, or any other area of my life. I rebuke the spirit of failure and declare that I am more than a conqueror through Christ who loves me.
Lord, I come against every hindrance, every obstacle, and every form of opposition that seeks to derail my progress and success. I reject the fear of failure and any negative thoughts that may come with it. I choose to trust in Your promises and believe that You are working all things together for my good as stated in Romans 8:28.
Father, I pray for wisdom, knowledge, and understanding in all my endeavours. Guide my steps, and help me to make decisions that align with Your will. Open doors of opportunity for me and grant me favour with those I encounter. I declare that I will achieve my goals and fulfill my purpose according to Your divine plan.
I also lift up any past failures and disappointments that may be weighing me down. I ask for Your healing and restoration. Help me to learn from these experiences and to grow stronger in my faith and resilience. Let Your strength be made perfect in my weakness.
Holy Spirit, fill me with Your anointing and empower me to overcome every challenge. I declare that I am successful in all that I do because Your presence is with me. I speak blessings and prosperity over my life, and I thank You for the victories that are already on their way.
Thank You, Lord, for hearing my prayer and for the assurance that I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. I give You all the glory, honour, and praise for the great things You are doing in my life.

5. By the anointing of the Holy Spirit, I destroy the yoke of poverty, insufficiency, and lack in my life in Jesus’ name.

Heavenly Father, I come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, praising You for Your goodness and faithfulness. You are Jehovah Jireh, my Provider, and I trust in Your promise to supply all my needs according to Your riches in glory by Christ Jesus as stated in Philippians 4:19.
By the anointing of the Holy Spirit, I break and destroy every yoke of poverty, insufficiency, and lack that has been operating in my life. I declare that these chains are broken, and I am set free to walk in the abundance and prosperity that You have ordained for me. I rebuke the spirit of lack and declare that it has no place in my life.
Lord, I come against any financial struggles, debts, and economic hardships that I may be facing. I ask for Your divine intervention and provision. Open the windows of heaven and pour out blessings that there will not be room enough to receive them, as promised in Malachi 3:10. Let financial breakthroughs manifest in my life, bringing stability and prosperity.
Father, I also pray for wisdom in managing my finances. Help me to be a good steward of the resources You have entrusted to me. Guide my decisions and grant me discernment in my spending, savings, and investments. I declare that I will not squander my resources but will use them wisely for Your glory.
I lift up every area of my life where there is insufficiency and lack. I speak abundance, prosperity, and provision over my home, my work, my ministry, and my relationships. I declare that I am blessed coming in and going out, and that everything I put my hands to will prosper, as stated in Deuteronomy 28:6.
Holy Spirit, fill me with Your anointing and empower me to overcome every challenge related to poverty and lack. Break every generational curse of poverty and replace it with generational blessings of prosperity. I declare that my family and I will experience financial freedom and overflow.
Thank You, Lord, for hearing my prayer and for the assurance that You are my Shepherd, and I shall not want. I give You all the glory, honour, and praise for the miraculous provision You are bringing into my life.
In Jesus’ mighty name, I pray. Amen.
5. By the anointing of the Holy Spirit, I destroy the yoke of delay and disappointment in Jesus’ name.

Heavenly Father, I come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, thanking You for Your love and faithfulness. You are a God who makes a way where there seems to be no way, and I trust in Your perfect timing and plans for my life. Your word in Jeremiah 29:11 assures me that You have plans for my welfare, not for evil, to give me a future and a hope.
By the anointing of the Holy Spirit, I break and destroy every yoke of delay and disappointment that has been hindering my progress. I declare that these chains are broken, and I am set free to walk in the fullness of God’s blessings and promises. I rebuke the spirit of near success syndrome, where I come close to success but never fully achieve it, and declare that it has no place in my life.
Lord, I come against any delays in my career, education, relationships, finances, and any other area of my life. I ask for Your divine acceleration to propel me forward into the destiny You have prepared for me. I pray for the removal of every obstacle, barrier, and hindrance that has been causing delays and disappointments.
Father, I also come against the spirit of disappointment that brings discouragement and despair. I declare that I will not be overwhelmed by setbacks or failures, but I will rise above them with Your strength and grace. Your word in Romans 8:28 reminds me that You are working all things together for my good.
I lift up every instance of near-success syndrome, where breakthroughs seem within reach but slip away. I declare that these cycles are broken, and I will experience complete and total victories in every area of my life. I speak success, fulfillment, and accomplishment over my endeavours.
Holy Spirit, fill me with Your anointing and empower me to overcome every challenge related to delay and disappointment. I declare that I will see the manifestation of God’s promises in my life without further delay. I trust in Your perfect timing and believe that You are opening doors of opportunity and favour for me.
Thank You, Lord, for hearing my prayer and for the assurance that You are with me every step of the way. I give You all the glory, honour, and praise for the great things You are doing in my life.
