Divine Restoration

By Pastor Juliana T Akinbami

LET US PRAY

4. Restoration of Glory and Honour

God is a restorer of glory and honour. Though humanity lost the glory and honour we were created to carry through the fall of Adam, Christ came to restore us to even greater glory. As we pray, let us believe God to elevate us, increase our greatness, and cause our lives to shine forth His glory, demonstrating His power and majesty.

Key Scripture: Psalm 8:4-5 (AMP) – “What is man that You are mindful of him, and the son of [earthborn] man that You care for him? Yet You have made him a little lower than God, and You have crowned him with glory and honour.”

Prayer:

  1. Restoration of Lost Glory

Scripture Reference: Romans 3:23; Luke 4:6
Prayer Point: “Heavenly Father, I acknowledge that we fell short of Your glory through sin, but I thank You that through Jesus Christ, You have restored this glory. Lord, restore every area of my life where the enemy has stolen or tarnished Your glory.
Let my life reflect the fullness of Your purpose, and may I shine forth as a testimony of Your restoration power, in Jesus’ name.”

  1. Increase of Greatness and Divine Comfort

Scripture Reference: Psalm 71:21
Prayer Point: “Lord, I ask You to increase my greatness and comfort me on every side. Lift me up beyond my limitations and surround me with Your presence.
 in Jesus’ name.”

Shining Forth of God’s Glory

Scripture Reference: Isaiah 60:2
Prayer Point: “According to the Word of God, as darkness covers the earth, I command my glory to shine forth in Jesus’ name. God’s light shines brightly upon me and dispels all darkness trying to overshadow my destiny.
Father, may Your glory be evident in every area of my life and draw many to Your Kingdom in Jesus’ name.”

5. Restoration of the Soul

Restoring the soul is a vital first step toward experiencing total restoration in every area of life. Our souls—our emotions, thoughts, and will—often bear the weight of past hurts, trauma, and spiritual battles. But God promises to refresh and heal our souls, bringing us peace, joy, and a heart that is fully aligned with His will. As we pray, let us trust that God can heal every broken place and bring us into a new season of victory and strength

Key Scripture: Psalm 23:3 (AMP) – “He refreshes and restores my soul (life); He leads me in the paths of righteousness for His name’s sake.”

Prayer:

  1. Healing from Shame and Stigma

Scripture Reference: Romans 8:1; Hebrews 10:16-17
Prayer Point: “Heavenly Father, thank You that there is no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. By the blood of Jesus, silence every voice of shame and stigma that seeks to haunt my soul. Restore my sense of worth and identity in You, and let my mind be filled with the truth of Your love and forgiveness.
Father, Renew my heart and give me the strength to live confidently as Your beloved child, in Jesus’ name.”

  1. Guarding the Heart for Lasting Restoration

Scripture Reference: Proverbs 4:23
Prayer Point: “Lord, Your Word tells me to guard my heart because it affects every area of my life. I ask for Your wisdom and strength to protect my heart from bitterness, unforgiveness, and harmful influences. Renew my mind daily with Your Word, and fill my heart with Your peace and joy. Let my soul be continually restored and aligned with Your purpose, in Jesus’ name.”

  1. Walking in Victory with a Restored Soul

Scripture Reference: Psalm 23:4-5
Prayer Point: “Father, I thank You for the victory You have given me in life and for the eternal hope I have through a restored soul. Even when I walk through dark and difficult times, I know You are with me, comforting and strengthening me.
Thank You for preparing a table before me and anointing me with Your blessings. I rejoice in the new possibilities and victories that come from a soul fully restored and aligned with You, in Jesus’ name.”

6. Restoration Through Aggressive Faith

Restoration isn’t always passive; it often requires an aggressive faith that takes hold of God’s promises and refuses to back down. Scripture teaches us that there are moments when we must rise up in spiritual warfare and declare victory over the enemy, reclaiming what rightfully belongs to us. Through aggressive faith, we can see every area of loss restored and God’s perfect plan revived in our lives.

Key Scripture: Deuteronomy 2:24 (AMP) – “Arise, set out, and pass through the valley of Arnon. Look, I have handed over to you Sihon the Amorite, king of Heshbon, and his land. Begin to take possession and engage him in battle.”

Prayer:

  1. Strength to Fight for Restoration

Scripture Reference: Deuteronomy 2:24; Jeremiah 51:44
Prayer Point: “Lord, give me the strength and boldness to fight for my restoration in faith. I command everything that the enemy has swallowed to be released in Jesus’ name.
I take possession of my blessings and declare that no force of darkness can hold back what is mine. Help me to rise up in aggressive faith, believing and acting on Your promises until full restoration comes, in Jesus’ name.”

  1. Turning Point in Challenging Situations

Scripture Reference: 1 Samuel 7:13-14
Prayer Point: “Father, I ask You for a turning point in every difficult and challenging situation I face. Just as You subdued the enemies of Israel and restored their lands, let every opposition in my life be subdued and defeated.
I declare that my restoration will be absolute and complete, with nothing missing or lacking, in Jesus’ name.”

  1. Declaring Restoration as My Portion

Scripture Reference: Genesis 45:27-28
Prayer Point: “Heavenly Father, I declare that restoration is my portion in every area of my life. Just as Jacob’s spirit was revived when he heard the good news of Joseph, revive my spirit and renew my hope.
I will pursue and receive Your original plan for my life. Let my faith be aggressive and unyielding, and may I see Your promises come to pass, in Jesus’ name.”

Give Thanks For this Weekly Watch

Heavenly Father, we thank You for Your faithfulness throughout this watch. We praise You for the restoration You have promised, for You are the God who crowns us with glory and honour. Thank You for hearing our prayers and for the assurance that You are working all things together for our good and Your glory.

Father, as we conclude this watch, we bless Your name and declare that Your glory will be seen in our families, careers, and ministries. May our testimonies draw many to Your Kingdom. We seal our prayers with thanksgiving, confident that You have heard and answered us, in the mighty name of Jesus. Amen.

Charge

As we close this week’s watch, I charge you to walk in the confidence that God has indeed restored your glory and honour. Remember that you are crowned with dignity, made a little lower than the angels, and called to shine forth God’s light. Let your life be a living testimony of His power and majesty. Refuse to let any past loss or setback define you. Instead, rise up in the strength of the Lord, for He has already crowned you with His glory and is elevating you to fulfill your divine purpose.
