The Gospel of The Kingdom – Salvation Is A Journey

The Journey of Salvation

Embracing God’s Grace Daily

Embracing God’s grace daily is a comprehensive and vital aspect of our Christian faith. How can we hope to survive without it?

Grace is personified in a person, Jesus Christ, who lives in us. Here are some scriptures.

John 1:14 – “And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.”

John 1:16-17 – “And of His fullness we have all received, and grace for grace. For the law was given through Moses, but grace and truth came through Jesus Christ.”

2 Corinthians 8:9 – “For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though He was rich, yet for your sakes He became poor, that you through His poverty might become rich.”

Hebrews 4:16 – “Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.”

We are called to grow in grace and the knowledge of Jesus Christ

2 Peter 3: 18 but grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

To Him be the glory both now and forever. Amen.

PRAY

Heavenly Father,

In this journey of salvation, I humbly come before You, acknowledging my need for Your grace each day. Help me, Lord, to see and experience Your grace in every aspect of my life.

As John 1:16-17 states, from Jesus’ fullness, I have received grace upon grace. Teach me to live daily in the reality of this grace, letting it guide my thoughts, actions, and words.

I pray for growth in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ. May I continually deepen my understanding of Your grace and live in a way that glorifies You both now and forever.

Lord, mold my heart and mind each day, that I may live fully in the grace provided through Jesus Christ. May Your grace not just be a concept, but a daily reality in my walk with You.

In the name of Jesus, I pray, Amen.

Salvation in Health and Wellness: Taking Care of Our Temples

It is important to remember that our physical bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 6:19-20). Taking care of our health and wellness is not only beneficial for our own well-being, but it is also an act of worship and stewardship to God.
The journey of salvation encompasses all aspects of our lives, including our physical well-being. Our bodies are gifts from God, and it is our responsibility to honour Him by taking care of them. By maintaining good health, we can serve God more effectively and fulfill His purpose for our lives.

One of the ways we can take care of our temples is through proper nutrition. The Bible reminds us to nourish our bodies with wholesome, nutritious food that fuels us for the tasks God has set before us. By making conscious choices to eat balanced meals and avoid harmful substances, we can ensure that our bodies are strong and capable of doing God’s work.

In addition to a healthy diet, regular exercise is essential for our physical and mental well-being. Exercise not only strengthens our bodies but also releases endorphins, which improve our mood and reduce stress. By incorporating physical activity into our daily routines, we can enhance our overall quality of life and be better equipped to serve God and others.

Furthermore, rest and relaxation are vital for our bodies to rejuvenate and recharge. God designed us to need rest, and by prioritizing sufficient sleep and relaxation time, we can prevent burnout and maintain optimal health. This allows us to have the energy and mental clarity to pursue our spiritual journey and fulfill God’s purpose for our lives.

Taking care of our temples is not a selfish act; it is an act of obedience and gratitude to God. When we prioritize our health and wellness, we are better equipped to love and serve others, spreading the message of salvation through our actions and words. By aligning our physical well-being with our spiritual journey, we can truly experience the fullness of God’s salvation in our lives.

But what happens when the enemy comes against us to eat up our flesh? The Bible says they will stumble, and they will fall.

Psalm 27: When the wicked came against me
To eat[a] up my flesh,
My enemies and foes,
They stumbled and fell.
Though an army may encamp against me,
My heart shall not fear;
Though war may rise against me,
In this I will be confident.

Why can we be confident in this? We are confident because our bodies are the temple of the Holy Spirit. Christ is in us; eternal life is in us. We must embrace this journey of total salvation and stand our ground concerning the finished work of Christ. It is finished!!

Pray

Heavenly Father,
I come before You today to declare and affirm my commitment to taking care of the temple You have entrusted to me, my body. I acknowledge that my body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, and I honour this truth by prioritizing my health and wellness as an act of worship and stewardship to You.Lord, I commit to nourishing my body with wholesome and nutritious food, recognizing that it fuels me for the tasks You have set before me. Help me to make conscious choices to eat balanced meals and to avoid substances that are harmful to my body. I pray for strength and discipline in maintaining a diet that enhances my physical and spiritual well-being.

I declare the importance of regular exercise in my life. I understand that physical activity not only strengthens my body but also uplifts my spirit and mental health. As I engage in exercise, may I feel Your joy and vitality flowing through me, improving my mood and reducing stress.

Father, I also recognize the vital role of rest and relaxation in my wellness journey. I commit to prioritizing sufficient sleep and relaxation time, as You have designed us to need rest. Grant me the wisdom to balance my activities with periods of rejuvenation so I can prevent burnout and maintain optimal health.

I declare when the wicked come against me, they will stumble and fall. No army or challenge that rises against me can prevail because I am confident in the knowledge that my body is the temple of Your Holy Spirit, and Christ lives in me.
I embrace this journey of total salvation, standing my ground on the finished work of Christ. It is finished! In Christ, I have eternal life, and in Him, I have complete wellness and health.

Thank You, Lord, for Your wisdom and guidance in all aspects of my life. May my actions in taking care of my health reflect my gratitude and obedience to You. In Jesus’ mighty name, I pray and declare,

Amen.

Salvation in Mind and Emotions: Renewing our Thoughts and Feelings

1 Peter 1: 9 receiving the end of your faith—the salvation of your souls.

Salvation is a dynamic journey that touches every aspect of our being. Far more than a singular event, it is an ongoing process of transformation that deeply influences our minds and emotions. Our perspectives, attitudes, and reactions are profoundly shaped by this journey, highlighting the importance of renewing our thoughts and feelings as Christians. Our minds are battlegrounds, often besieged by negativity, doubt, and fear. The enemy aims to warp our thinking, drawing us into destructive thought patterns that impede our spiritual development. Yet, salvation empowers us to transform our minds.

Romans 12:2 urges us, “Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.” By aligning our thoughts with God’s Word, we break free from negativity and step into the freedom and peace of renewed thinking.

Likewise, our emotions can be sources of both happiness and distress. While it’s natural to experience a spectrum of feelings, we are called to be led by the Spirit, not governed by our emotions. Galatians 5:22-23 describes the fruit of the Spirit, among which are love, joy, and peace, guiding us towards emotional balance and health. Surrendering our emotions to God, seeking His guidance, and allowing the Holy Spirit to shape our hearts is key to this transformation.

The journey of renewing our minds and emotions is continuous. It demands discipline, introspection, and a readiness to abandon old habits in favour of God’s truth. As stated in Philippians 4:8, we are encouraged to think about whatever is true, noble, right, pure, lovely, and admirable. This journey allows us to break free from destructive thought patterns, heal emotionally, and embrace the abundant life promised in John 10:10, where Jesus declares, “I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.”

By engaging in this process, we step into a deeper understanding and experience of salvation, finding true freedom and joy in Christ.

Pray

Heavenly Father,
I come before You today, declaring my journey of salvation not just in spirit but also in my mind and emotions. I acknowledge that the goal of my faith is the salvation of my soul, which includes the transformation of my thoughts and feelings.Lord, I recognize that my mind often faces battles with negativity, doubt, and fear. But I stand on Your promise in Romans 12:2, refusing to conform to the patterns of this world. Instead, I choose to be transformed by the renewing of my mind. Help me, O God, to align my thoughts with the truth of Your Word, breaking free from the chains of destructive thinking and stepping into the freedom and peace that come with a renewed mind.

I also bring my emotions before You, knowing that while it’s natural to experience a range of feelings, I am called to be guided by the Holy Spirit. I embrace the fruits of the Spirit, as outlined in Galatians 5:22-23, including love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. Through these, I seek a deeper level of emotional healing and stability.

I surrender my emotions to You, Lord, asking for Your wisdom and discernment in managing them. Let Your touch transform my heart and guide my emotions with Your gentle hand. May I experience the fullness of joy and peace that comes from living in the Spirit,

I declare this not as a one-time event but as a continuous journey. Grant me the discipline and strength to reflect on Philippians 4:8, focusing on whatever is true, noble, right, pure, lovely, and admirable. I commit to abandoning old patterns and embracing Your truth, knowing that in You, I can find freedom from destructive thoughts and experience emotional healing.

Through this process, may I walk in the abundant life that Jesus promised in John 10:10, experiencing the fullness of joy and peace in my mind and heart. I declare that my journey of salvation includes the renewal of my thoughts and emotions, and I step into this reality with faith and hope.

In the powerful name of Jesus, I pray and declare,
Amen.
