Exodus 14:21 Then Moses stretched out his hand over the sea; and the Lord caused the sea to go back by a strong east wind all that night, and made the sea into dry land, and the waters were divided. 22 So the children of Israel went into the midst of the sea on the dry ground, and the waters were a wall to them on their right hand and on their left.
The dividing of the Red Sea will forever be a classic reference scripture for How God can move on behalf of His people. When it seemed like there was no way out, all options had been exhausted, and God made a way. He demonstrated His power through the hand of Moses. As Moses stretched forth his rod over the sea, God intervened.
Divine intervention is the supernatural intervention of God in the affairs of humanity.
God has the power to intervene in the natural world and perform miraculous acts on behalf of his people. In this case, he used a strong wind to part the waters of the sea, creating a path for the Israelites to cross safely. This was a clear demonstration of his power and sovereignty over creation. It provided the Israelites with a remarkable opportunity to escape their oppressors and continue their journey to the Promised Land.
In the context of ruling in your career, divine intervention refers to God’s active involvement in your professional life. This intervention can come in many forms, such as a sudden breakthrough, an unexpected opportunity, or a miraculous provision of resources.
Divine intervention also helps bring about opportunities we may not have otherwise had. When we pray for divine intervention, we ask God to open doors that may have been closed before. These opportunities may come in the form of new job offers, promotions, or even networking opportunities. By seizing these opportunities, we can take our careers to new heights and achieve success beyond our wildest dreams.
More importantly, we can exercise our rulership by engaging the power of God available to us.
Pray
Thank God for His power and authority. That God “rules all” and is all-powerful.
Praise God for limitless possibilities.
Declare that by the power of God in you, you have limitless possibilities.
Declare that nothing you desire to do in your career, business or ministry is impossible.
Thank God for giving us power and authority in the name of Jesus so that when we speak over situations, it responds to our words because of the power of the Holy Spirit in us.
Divine intervention is the power of God working in you. By this power, begin to speak to closed doors, command them to open, speak to mountains and command them to be levelled. Command rough roads to be smooth, command crooked places to be straight. Command confusion to go and call for light, understanding and clarity by the power of God.
Command the miraculous to happen in your career and business.
Declare liftings, unprecedented promotions, declare you have the power to rule in your sphere, and you are ruling.
Declare you are the head and not the tail.
Release the same to every member of your family.
Now thank God for the power of divine intervention and the manifestation of everything you have prayed for.
- Positive Attitude and Outlook
Numbers 13: 30 Then Caleb quieted the people before Moses, and said, “Let us go up at once and take possession, for we are well able to overcome it.”
31 But the men who had gone up with him said, “We are not able to go up against the people, for they are stronger than we.” 32 And they gave the children of Israel a bad report of the land which they had spied out, saying, “The land through which we have gone as spies is a land that devours its inhabitants, and all the people whom we saw in it are men of great stature. 33 There we saw the giants (the descendants of Anak came from the giants); and we were like grasshoppers in our own sight, and so we were in their sight.”
We know this story, and we have listened to many messages. The challenge is that hearing messages is different from being on the scene. Ten out of twelve spies did not count themselves worthy of going in and facing the giants. One significant thing was that they forgot who was with them. Even though invisible, His presence is potent. He goes in with us to the battle and ensures we are victorious. What are you seeing today with respect to your career and business?
There is nothing of significance you want to achieve that will not have obstacles. Sometimes those obstacles are so intimidating that you lose hope. With the world economy, the changes in job requirements are happening so fast that it can cause people to lose hope. What do you do after taking certifications in the hope that it would improve your job chances, and suddenly that sphere becomes saturated, and people are being retrenched? What do you do after spending millions on improving your business, and the cargo disappears without a trace? What do you do when you are the Executive director of an organization, then suddenly there is a buy over and you are displaced?
In all these, God would have us be grateful knowing He has our back. You may not have seen it coming, but He knew and has made a way. Knowing this, we must cultivate a positive attitude and have a positive outlook.
Your attitude and outlook play a significant role in your career success. They impact your decision-making, your relationships with colleagues, and even your performance. As you strive to rule in your career, it’s important to maintain a positive attitude and outlook. Fortunately, prayer can help you achieve this.
Here are some ways you can pray for a positive attitude and outlook in your career:
Pray
Pray for guidance: Ask God to guide you in your career journey. Pray for the wisdom to make the right decisions and the strength to overcome any obstacles you may face
Pray for patience: It can be difficult to maintain a positive attitude when things aren’t going as planned. Pray for patience and the ability to persevere through difficult times. When you trust that God has a plan for your life, staying positive and hopeful is easier.
Pray for gratitude: Gratitude is a powerful force that can transform your attitude and outlook. Thank God for the blessings in your life, including your career. When you focus on what you have rather than what you lack, you’ll find it easier to maintain a positive attitude and outlook.
Pray for strength: Your career may require facing challenges and obstacles that test your strength. Pray for the strength to overcome these challenges and the courage to persevere. When you’re strong and resilient, you’re better able to maintain a positive attitude and outlook.
Thank God, who guides you through every career and business journey. Thank Him for the patience and strength to persevere to the end.
- Overcoming Career Obstacles
There are many obstacles that can prevent you from achieving success in your career. These obstacles can range from personal issues, such as lack of confidence or fear of failure, to external factors, such as difficult bosses or unhelpful colleagues. Whatever the obstacle, it is important to remember that with the divine power to rule in your career, you can overcome any challenge and achieve your goals.
4a. lack of direction or clarity of goals
Psalm 32: 8 I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go;
I will guide you with My eye.
Heavenly Father, I confess that I can do nothing without You.
According to Your Word instruct me in my career journey,
Teach me in the way I should go.
Teach me the things I should know
Give me inner sight and foresight in my career and business
Make me know the trends ahead of time and keep me ahead in my field
Thank You, Father, for the clarity of my goals. In Jesus’ name Amen
4b. Lack of confidence
Joshua 1: 9 Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”
Another common obstacle is a lack of confidence. Many people struggle with self-doubt and fear of failure, which can hold them back from pursuing their dreams and taking risks in their careers. To overcome this obstacle, it is important to focus on your strengths and accomplishments and to believe in yourself and your abilities. Pray for the courage and confidence to pursue your goals, and trust that God will give you the strength to overcome any challenges that come your way.
God knew that for Joshua to complete the task of leading the children of Israel into the promised land, he needed boldness. Therefore, God commanded Joshua to be bold and very courageous.
Declare I am bold and very courageous, I have been giving the spirit of boldness, I am not timid.
I can run through a troop and leap over walls.
I fear nothing.
4c. Difficult bosses or unhelpful colleagues
Proverbs 16: 7 When a man’s ways please the Lord,
He makes even his enemies to be at peace with him.
Difficult bosses or unhelpful colleagues and unfaithful staff can also be a major obstacle in your career. Working with people who are not supportive or who create a negative work environment can be frustrating and demotivating. To overcome this obstacle, it is important to focus on your attitude and behaviour and stay positive and professional in your interactions with others.
The promise of God stands sure that when we please the Lord, even our enemies will be at peace with us.
Declare your desire always to please God and do His will.
Address any issues with bosses, collages, staff and even partners. Pray for peace in all relationships.
Speak peace and command every storm to cease by the power in the name of Jesus.
Command light to shine forth where darkness has prevailed.
Pray for the wisdom of God and the grace of God to see you through any difficulty.
Declare it shall end in praise, declare you will be justified, and declare no shame instead, it is double honour.
