Armour of God 3 (The Shield of Faith)

By Pastor Juliana T Akinbami

  1. We have the Faith of Jesus Gal 2:20 I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me KJVPray
I have been crucified with Christ … meaning there is a me that was and no longer is
The new me lives through someone in me that person is Christ
This life that I am living daily depends on a faith that does not come from me but comes from Jesus.
Another scripture that further explains this isHeb 12: looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith NKJVHeb 12: 2 We look away from the natural realm and we fasten our gaze onto Jesus who birthed faith within us and who leads us forward into faiths perfection. TPTPray
Declare: Jesus is the author, the source, and the finisher of my faith.
Jesus is the perfecter of my faith. Jesus has birthed faith in me, leading me into faith’s perfection.
In warfare, I take up the shield of faith which has been perfected in Christ. Therefore, the fiery darts of the enemy are quenched.2. Activate the faith of Jesus.
As you take these prayers, have an open posture to receive the spirit of faith.
Father, I own the gateway of faith in my spirit, and I invite You to release in me great faith.
Let there be a release of faith for the miraculous
Let there be a release of the faith that moves mountains
Let faith well up inside of me – mention the things that you need faith for and ask for an increase in faith
Thank You for the measure of faith I have walked in. I ask for a dimensional increase
I ask for the faith of Jesus doubting nothing (Acts 10:20)
Let the gateway of faith be open
Let the gateway of great faith be open

The faith of Jesus is premised on the capacity of Jesus to do. The faith of Jesus aligns with what He has seen the Father do.
Likewise, Jesus expects us to do what we have seen Him do and even greater.

John 14: 12 “Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father.

When Satan came against Jesus to tempt Him, Jesus took up His shield of faith and quenched all the fiery darts by responding to him with the Word. Throughout His journey on earth, He quenched the fiery darts of the wicked until the appointed time when He chose to lay His life down as a substitute.

    Pray
I rebuke every situation causing me to fear by the power in the name of Jesus.
My faith is built on nothing less than Jesus’ blood and His righteousness.
On Christ the solid Rock I stand; all other ground is sinking sands.
I believe in Jesus, I believe in His power working in me, I believe the fiery darts of the wicked are quenched.
I address every fiery arrow aimed at me or any family member, be quenched now In the name of Jesus.
Wherever you are coming from, I command you to fizzle out now by the power in the name of Jesus.

The faith of Jesus is demonstrated throughout the scriptures, but it is a faith that does not see in the natural but believes. It is a faith that can call things that do not exist in the natural as though they are.

Romans 4: 17 (as it is written, “I have made you a father of many nations”) in the presence of Him whom he believed—God, who gives life to the dead and calls those things which do not exist as though they did; NKJV

Romans 4: 17 That’s what the Scripture means when it says:
“I have made you the father of many nations.” He is our example and father, for in God’s presence, he believed that God can raise the dead and call into being things that don’t even exist yet. TPT

It is the faith that creates
It is the faith that calls light to shine out of darkness
It is the faith that called Abram Abraham and Sarai Sarah when as, yet they had no child
It is the faith that called Jacob, Isaac
It is the faith that called Simeon, Peter
It is the faith that said “Lazarus is sleeping instead of Lazarus is dead”
It is the faith that spoke to a fig tree and the fig tree withered
It is the faith that tells a man with a withered hand to stretch forth
It is the faith that speaks, and it comes to pass
We have this faith, we have the faith of Jesus, we are partakers of the divine nature.

    Pray
Because we believe, we speak into our situations, and we allow only what we want to see.
Begin to command the change you want to see; command light to shine forth in darkness.
Command clarity from obscurity. Command a change of status from barrenness to fruitfulness. Command a change of name “now all generations shall call me blessed.”
Command the impossible to become possible.
Command strength in weakness. Speak life to things that have withered,

Declare: As I speak, it shall be established unto me. As I speak it is activated where I send it to and it shall come to pass.
    Jesus said
Mark 11:23 For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says.

Pray in tongues for 10 minutes, intermittently speaking to your mountain and commanding it to move. Declare the change you want to see. You can stop once you feel confident that you have what you have said.

    3. TAKE A STEP OF FAITH

James 2:20 But do you want to know, O foolish man, that faith without works is dead? 21 Was not Abraham our father justified by works when he offered Isaac his son on the altar?

Before you take this next prayer, read through this section so that you know what you are going to pray for. Open your prayer journal and document the specific areas you need faith for – faith for a new house, faith for your ministry, faith for healing, faith for a spouse, faith for children, faith for a high-paying job etc.

Next, write down one step you will take toward each of these areas of expectation.
Next, write down what you want each month of this year to deliver to you.
Allow the Holy Spirit to lead you, and if you do not receive any instructions, do not fret just follow as below:

You need to take some actions according to the faith you have professed.
Therefore, you will take some steps around your prayer room, symbolic of taking action according to the great faith you have received.

For every step you take, make a declaration according to what you have written in your journal
    eg.

Today I take a step towards writing my book by writing the introduction
Today I take a step toward my academics by registering for the program.’
Today I take a step of faith towards getting my own property by calling a realtor.
Today I take a step towards clearing my debt
For every declaration, take a new step

Speak to yourself and declare you will do what needs to be done by faith
Declare you are not looking at the evidence before you but the promise of God that cannot fail
Declare you have faith in the supernatural, faith in the impossible because with God, it is easy
Take a step for every month of this year. See the month with the eyes of your spirit. Speak into the month and declare what it should bring forth according to what you have written.
Make it a goal to impress God with your aggressive faith this year, be reckless in believing the impossible.

It will come to pass.
