My Set Time For Promotion 2

The following prayers conclude the theme of promotion that we began in week 34. Be blessed as you pray.

. Faith and Dependence on God for Promotion 

• Genesis 45:9 – “Hurry and go up to my father, and say to him, ‘Thus says your son Joseph: God has made me lord of all Egypt; come down to me, do not tarry.'” 

• Theme: Joseph acknowledges that it was God who made him “lord of all Egypt,” underscores that his promotion was not by human effort but by divine intervention. Our promotion is from God.

•  Genesis 46:2-3 – “And God spoke to Israel in a vision at night and said, ‘Jacob! Jacob!’ ‘Here I am,’ he replied. ‘I am God, the God of your father,’ he said. ‘Do not be afraid to go down to Egypt, for I will make you into a great nation there.'” 

• Theme: God reassures Jacob that moving to Egypt is part of His divine plan. The further proof of this is that a blessing is coming with it. The blessings of the Lord do not add sorrow. For us, we must not be fearful to take up a higher assignment. Rather, knowing that promotion is from God, we trust Him to help us on this journey.

•  Genesis 47:13-17 – “There was no food, however, in the whole region because the famine was severe; both Egypt and Canaan wasted away because of the famine. Joseph collected all the money that was to be found in Egypt and Canaan in payment for the grain they were buying, and he brought it to Pharaoh’s palace. When the money of the people of Egypt and Canaan was gone, all Egypt came to Joseph and said, ‘Give us food. Why should we die before your eyes? Our money is all gone.'” 

• Theme: It was the wisdom of God at work in Joseph’s live that positioned Him as second to Pharaoh. Way ahead of time God who knows the end from the beginning had given Joseph the answer to a problem that was yet to occur. As you step into your new position, rest assured that God has placed solutions in you and like Joseph, “All will come to You” because God has given you the answers.  

As you read this, I want you to ponder on what answers God has given to you the ones you are aware of and the ones you are not even aware of and give Him thanks.  

 

Faith and Dependence on God for Promotion 

• Genesis 50:25 – “And Joseph made the Israelites swear an oath and said, ‘God will surely come to your aid, and then you must carry my bones up from this place.'” 

• Theme: Joseph’s final act of making his brothers swear to take his bones back to Canaan reflects his deep faith and dependence on God’s promises. This act symbolizes his unwavering belief that God’s plan for his family’s promotion and destiny would be fulfilled, even after his death. Likewise, be assured that God will surely promote you, whatever promotion means to you and in line with His plans for you.

Prayer 1: Acknowledging God’s Hand in Promotion 

Scripture Reference: Genesis 45:9 
Prayer: 
Heavenly Father, just as Joseph declared, “God has made me master”, I also acknowledge Your hand in elevating me to a position of authority. I declare that every advancement in my life is by Your grace and not by my own strength. I give You praise.  

Prayer 2: God’s Promises for Future Promotion  

Scripture Reference: Genesis 50:25 
Prayer: 
Father, just as Joseph had unwavering faith in Your promises, as he declared: “God will surely visit you, I too believe that You will fulfill every word of promotion spoken over my life. Even when I cannot see the fulfillment yet, I hold fast to Your faithfulness. I depend on Your promise for promotion and breakthrough. Therefore, I declare God will surely promote me. In Jesus’ name, Amen. 

Prayer 3: Standing in Faith for Greater Things 

Scripture Reference: John 1:50 
Prayer: 
Jesus, just as You promised Nathanael that he would see greater things, I stand in faith, believing that You have more in store for me. I depend on You to take me higher beyond what I can imagine. Open my eyes to the wonders of Your promotion, and help me walk in boldness, expecting greater things because of Your hand at work in my life. In Jesus’ name, Amen. 

Prayer 4: Faithful Stewardship in Pursuit of Promotion 

Scripture Reference: Ecclesiastes 10:10 
Prayer: 
Father, Your Word says that wisdom brings success. I ask for wisdom in every decision I make so that I may sharpen my skills and prepare myself for promotion. Help me to be diligent and wise, to rely on Your strength rather than my own efforts. May I be a faithful steward of the opportunities You give me because I know that my promotion comes from You. In Jesus’ name, Amen. 

 

Prayer 5: Trusting God’s Direction for Promotion 

Scripture Reference: Genesis 46:2-3 
Prayer: 
Lord, just as You reassured Jacob not to fear, I will not fear promotion. I will not fear new assignments or higher responsibilities because I know that promotion is from You. Help me to walk confidently into every new phase, relying on Your strength and wisdom to guide me. I have not walked his new path before, but I place my trust in You for my new level. As You told Jacob, “for there I will make your family into a great nation” I believe Your plans for me are good and not evil. My promotion is good, and I embrace it in the name of Jesus.  

Prayer 6: Depending on God’s Provision  

Scripture Reference: Genesis 47:13-17 
Prayer: 
Heavenly Father, as You elevate me into new positions of authority and responsibility, I depend on Your wisdom to guide me through every challenge. Just as Joseph led with insight and managed the resources of Egypt wisely during the famine, I ask for the wisdom to manage resources wisely and to lead with excellence.  In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Divine Favor and Strategic Positioning for Promotion 

• Genesis 46:31-34 – “Then Joseph said to his brothers and to his father’s household, ‘I will go up and speak to Pharaoh and will say to him, “My brothers and my father’s household, who were living in the land of Canaan, have come to me. The men are shepherds; they tend livestock, and they have brought along their flocks and herds and everything they own.” When Pharaoh calls you in and asks, “What is your occupation?” you should answer, “Your servants have tended livestock from our boyhood on, just as our fathers did.” Then you will be allowed to settle in the region of Goshen, for all shepherds are detestable to the Egyptians.'” 

• Theme: Joseph strategically positions his family in Goshen, a fertile area separate from the Egyptians, ensuring that they have a place to thrive. This strategic move not only secures their livelihood but also ensures that they are positioned for growth and promotion within the land. May God our Heavenly Father, position us strategically in the name of Jesus.  

Divine Favor and Strategic Positioning for Promotion 

•  Genesis 49:8-10 – “Judah, your brothers will praise you; your hand will be on the neck of your enemies; your father’s sons will bow down to you… The scepter will not depart from Judah, nor the ruler’s staff from between his feet, until he to whom it belongs shall come and the obedience of the nations shall be his.” 

• Theme: Ruben was the firstborn, yet Judah was strategically positioned ahead of his brothers.  Judah’s lineage becomes the one through which kings and, ultimately, the Messiah would come. This positioning is an example of divine favour that goes beyond human understanding, ensuring Judah’s prominence in history.

  Heavenly Father, I acknowledge that it is not by my strength, skill, or wisdom that I will be promoted but by Your hand, Your favour, and Your light. Father, position me for the promotion. In Jesus’ name, Amen. 

• Prayer 2: Remembered and Positioned for Promotion 

• Scripture Reference: Genesis 40:14 
  Prayer: 
  Father, I pray that You will place me on the hearts and minds of those in positions of authority. When the time is right, let me be remembered and positioned for promotion. I trust that even if I am overlooked for a season, Your timing is perfect, and You will bring me to the forefront in due time. I will surely be remembered. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

  Prayer: 
  Father, just as You promoted Daniel to a place of great influence and authority, I ask for Your divine favour to position me strategically for promotion in leadership. Give me wisdom to manage responsibilities and to influence others for Your kingdom. Help me to use my position for Your glory and to serve those You place under my care. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

  Prayer: 
  Father, You chose Judah for leadership among his brothers, I ask that You strategically position me in places of influence through Your divine favour. Let the scepter of authority You have ordained for me never depart from my life. Father, position me strategically in a way that would favour me and my entire lineage In Jesus’ name, Amen.

  Prayer: 
  Heavenly Father, Joseph, strategically positioned his family in Goshen through Your favour and wisdom. I ask for divine favour and insight to be positioned in places where I can thrive and grow. Guide me to make decisions that will lead to long-term success, provision, and promotion. Help me to recognize opportunities and strategically align myself for Your plans to unfold. In Jesus’ name, Amen. 

 

• Prayer 6: Using Authority for the Good of Others 

• Scripture Reference: Genesis 50:21 
  Prayer: 
  Father, like Joseph, who used his position of authority to provide for his family despite their betrayal, grant me the grace to use every promotion and authority You grant for the good of others. May Your divine favour not only elevate me but also enable me to strategically position those around me for prosperity and security. Help me to lead with kindness, wisdom, and love. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

  Prayer: 
  Lord, Mordecai received unexpected favour at the right time. I pray that You will orchestrate divine moments of recognition for me. Let the right people notice the work I have done, and let doors of opportunity open where they seemed closed. Position me strategically, just as You did for Mordecai, so that I may walk in the promotion You have planned for me. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

• Scripture Reference: Genesis 40:23 
  Prayer: 
  Lord, I acknowledge that sometimes there are delays in being recognized or promoted. Just as Joseph was forgotten by the cupbearer for a season, I trust that You have not forgotten me. I depend on Your perfect timing to bring me into the position You have ordained for me. I ask for the strength and patience to wait for Your divine appointment. In Jesus’ name, Amen. 

• Now, I take authority over every spirit of contention and delay to my promotion, I silence the voices of resistance to my promotion. I overcome you demonic spirits of delay by the blood of Jesus. You will not prevail against me, in the name of Jesus.

  Prayer: 
  Heavenly Father, Your Word says to mark the man of peace and uprightness, for his future is full of promise. Let me be known for peace, integrity, and faithfulness. Position me strategically in places of influence, not by striving, but by walking in Your peace. I declare Your Word concerning my promotion – I have a wonderful future ahead of me. For me, there is a happy ending. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Gratitude and Thanksgiving for Promotion 

• Genesis 48:11 – “Israel said to Joseph, ‘I never expected to see your face again, and now God has allowed me to see your children too.'” 

• Theme: Jacob’s gratitude is evident as he expresses his thankfulness for the unexpected blessing of not only seeing Joseph again but also his grandchildren. This acknowledgment of God’s goodness in reuniting the family and promoting Joseph reflects a heart of thanksgiving. 

• Genesis 49:25-26 – “Because of your father’s God, who helps you, because of the Almighty, who blesses you with blessings of the skies above, blessings of the deep springs below, blessings of the breast and womb.” 

• Theme: Jacob’s blessing over Joseph is filled with gratitude and acknowledgment of the manifold blessings Joseph has received from God. This expression of gratitude is linked to the promotion Joseph experienced, recognizing that all blessings and elevations come from God.

Heavenly Father, I come before You with a heart full of gratitude for the unexpected blessings in my life. I thank You for the ways You have exceeded my expectations. Thank You for the promotion and blessings You have brought into my life, far beyond what I could have imagined. I acknowledge that every good thing comes from You, and I give You all the glory. In Jesus’ name, Amen. 

Prayer 2: Thanksgiving for God’s Manifold Blessings 

Scripture Reference: Genesis 49:25-26 

Prayer: 

Lord, I acknowledge that every blessing in my life comes from Your hand—blessings from the heavens above, from the earth below, and from every source of life. I thank You for the promotion, elevation, and favour You have bestowed upon me. I am deeply grateful for Your help and the abundant blessings You have poured into my life. May my heart always overflow with thanksgiving for all You have done. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Prayer: 

Father, I thank You for lifting me up from humble places and seating me with the great. I acknowledge that my promotion and elevation are entirely by Your grace. You have seen me and chosen to promote me in ways that bring honour to Your name. I give You thanks for Your divine favour, and I praise You for the ways You continue to elevate me. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Lord, when You restored my fortunes, it felt like a dream! I am filled with joy and thanksgiving for the ways You have turned my situation around. You have brought me into a place of promotion, and I celebrate the goodness of Your hand upon my life. Thank You for restoring what was lost and for leading me into new seasons of favour and blessing. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Prayer: 

Father, I thank You for transforming me into Your image with ever-increasing glory. My promotion and progress are part of Your divine work in me. As I grow in You, I give thanks for every step of transformation and for the new levels of responsibility and favour You have entrusted to me. May I always reflect Your glory in every position You place me. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Prayer: 

Father. I thank You for promoting me in due time, according to Your plan. Help me to remain humble and dependent on You, never forgetting that every promotion comes from Your hand. Father, I thank You for placing me in the position of responsibility and purpose You have chosen for me. Just as You placed Adam in the garden to tend and care for it, I am grateful for the tasks and roles You have given me. Help me to steward them well, with a heart of gratitude for Your provision and Your plans for my life. May I always remember that my promotion is part of Your greater purpose. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Conclusion and Thanksgiving Prayer for Week 36

Heavenly Father,

As we come to the end of this powerful week of prayer, we are in awe of Your faithfulness and Your perfect timing. We have declared that our set time for promotion is here, and we believe that You have heard our prayers, seen our faith, and are moving on our behalf. Every barrier has been broken, every delay removed, and the doors of promotion are opening wide for us. 

Thank You for the breakthroughs that are already unfolding and for the testimonies that will come from this season.

In Jesus’ name, we have prayed, amen.
